JOB SUMMARY:

New exciting opportunities as a Fund Accountant (Private Equity) are now available with one of the leading fund administrators, Equinoxe Alternative Investment Services (Mauritius) Limited.

Equinoxe is an award winning fund administrator, with offices in strategic locations globally in Bermuda, USA, Ireland (Dublin and Sligo), Mauritius, Singapore, and Malta.

Due to our expansion, we are looking for relevant and dynamic candidates who are looking to bring their career to the next level within an established firm.

***This is not a supervisory or management role***

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing positive internal and external client relationships;
  • Preparing timely and accurate Net Asset Values;
  • Performing fund allocations, including capital calls, distributions, capital accounts and waterfall calculations;
  • Calculate investment and fund performance (Gross and Net IRR)
  • Supporting the transfer agency/investor services functions;
  • Preparing financial statements in line with GAAP/IFRS standards and liaising with auditors to manage the audit process;
  • Reviewing private equity fund clients’ constitutive documents including limited partnership agreements and PPMs
  • Supporting cash management, and preparing payment instructions;
  • Developing and improving standard workflows;
  • Assist with training of new staff members;
  • Preparation of tax computations and filing of tax returns;
  • Supporting projects and other ad-hoc requests as required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree or professional qualifications (eg minimum partly qualified ACCA)
  • Relevant Experience in private equity is essential
  • Detailed knowledge & understanding of securities and other financial instruments
  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with Advent Geneva preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage time effectively and meet deadlines accordingly
  • Team player with a proactive and positive approach
  • Willingness to work extended hours and some public holidays as may be required
